Adopt South provide a service in respect of any aspect of adoption for those living in Southampton City. We also welcome approaches from prospective adopters living within a 50 mile radius of the City. The adoption team provide a specialist service to children who cannot return to live with their parents and are placed for adoption. They also operate a confidential ‘letterbox’ scheme to allow correspondence between a birth family, the adoptive family and the adopted child. The team provides support to adopted children and young people, adopters, birth parents and their families including advice and information. They recruit, prepare and assess prospective adopters for children who need adoption.
