Down to Earth Community Farm is now able to offer a programme of activities for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. We aim to create a supportive environment where people can gain new life skills and participate in real work opportunities. Our site is made up of 5 acres of grounds including a small farm, woodland area, pond, grassland habitats, gardens, and a fully equipped building suitable for a range of indoor activities.

Despite being very accessible from the centre of Southampton we are also quite well hidden. We are on the blue star No.4 bus route and do have parking at the entrance to the farm. The farm does have some uneven ground but there is a growing network of wheelchair accessible paths.

We invite those interested to arrange a tour of the farm with a parent/carer to see if it is something they would be interested in. Following the tour if still interested we would invite the individual to attend a taster session with parent/carer bringing with them a fully completed referral form. We would then look to set a start date for attending the farm regularly, in some cases support works will continue to attend if individually are deemed to need extra support and finances allow. We have limited spaces as our groups are not huge so call us to find out more on 02380 522706!
