Miller’s Pond Nature Reserve & Sholing Valleys Study Centre spans around 20 acres. It is Southampton’s largest and most diverse Local Nature Reserve. Since 1988, Sholing Valleys Study Centre has been working as a registered charity to preserve Miller’s Pond its surrounding areas, whilst educating the public about this unique environment and the wildlife found here.
Mother Nature constantly needs a helping hand, to tidy up around the area with site management, help planting trees and hedgerows, survey work and litter-picking.
All of these help continue our conservation work and look after the area. So, we need your help with this planned work too!
We hold Conservation workdays the third Sunday of the month, from 10am - 3 pm. We have tasks for all abilities, from litter picking and meadow surveys to tree clearance and brush cutting. Lunch is provided.
All details can be found on our Facebook group.
