As a parent I understand how hard it is to trust somebody else to look after your child or children. That's why I offer a safe, caring and fun home-from-home environment, where your child can learn and develop at their own pace, whilst feeling happy and secure.
I have a Level 3 Diploma in Home Based Childcare Grade A, which I passed in June 2010. My husband (my assistant when he's home) and I both hold a current paediatric first aid certificate.
I regularly attend professional development training courses provided by Southampton City Council, PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years) and any other relevant courses to ensure that I keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and to extend my knowledge. My certificates are available to view when you visit us.
I provide healthy home cooked food, drinks and snacks for the children including a seasonal variety of fruit and vegetables. You can also provide a healthy packed lunch, which most parents prefer, so that they can eat together as a family in the evening.
The children have access to a wide range of toys and resources both inside and outside, including a climbing frame with a slide; water and sand play; a garden to run about in and grow our vegetables; construction; musical instruments; treasure baskets; books; puzzles; dressing up and role play, there are too many to mention. We also visit local playgroups and drop in groups at no extra charge to you, where the children can play; sing; dance; paint and make new friends. We explore our local area by visiting the toy and book libraries; shops; park; post office and schools etc.
I pick up and drop off at Mason Moor School only.
