Bereavement Advice Centre

We provide a national helpline and website providing information, advice and signposting on all the practical issues that arise around the time of and after a death.

These include registration of death, referrals to a coroner, arranging a funeral, bereavement related benefits and questions about the need for probate and how this can be done.

We can also help identify the most appropriate sources of support and provide their contact details.

We welcome calls from people planning ahead for their own deaths, people who are expecting to be bereaved and people who have experienced the death of someone close to them.

We also welcome calls from professionals and volunteers who support dying and bereaved people.
