The Avenue Multicultural Centre organises a weekly drop-in centre at the Church. It has a Management Committee comprising clients and members of these organisations. It is supported by the Southampton and Winchester Visitors Group. Every Friday clients can seek advice from CLEAR, the Red Cross, Refugee Action and the Portsmouth Refugee Legal Centre. In addition there are games and activities, food at lunch-time and opportunities to make and strengthen friendships. Upwards of 50 asylum seekers and refugees attend the Centre.
