Child Protection Conferences - Children and Families Services

Child Protection Conferences undertake a Quality Assurance role for Children and Families in the area of Child Protection and Safeguarding. This service hold multi-agency child protection conferences facilitated by chairs that are intependent from the core social work teams.   The independent chairs monitor the child protection plans for children and young people at risk of significant harm in Southampton, and act as consultants for agencies with regard to safeguarding including through contributing to and delivering training.  The service also supports the functions of Southampton Safeguarding Children Partnership and participates in multi-agency learning forums.
