Creating a Stimulating and Challenging Environment for all

Following last year’s successful course, this course is being offered again.  Practitioners need to provide that stimulating and challenging environment to support and enhance young children’s learning. This course will explore how we can provide that environment and meet individual needs.

Who should attend?

This training is open to all, particularly those working in Early Years settings and in Year R.

Additional Information

Delegates should have a good understanding of the EYFS and how to observe, assess and plan children’s activities.

You will be able to:

  • Understand what we mean by differentiation and how to achieve this for all children.
  • Develop ideas to support spontaneous learning.
  • Develop monitoring skills to measure how effective your provision is in delivering challenge for all.
  • Relate this to age and stage.
  • Ensure your setting offers inclusive practice and diversity of experience.
  • Provide new and unusual stimulating resources which are open-ended, to encourage exploration and sustained shared thinking opportunities for all.
  • Develop opportunities for all children to think creatively and flexibly to solve problems and link ideas.
  • Create enabling environments for all using rich play experiences, flexible resources and providing choice.
