Responding to Domestic Violence (DVA) and its Impact on Children and Young People within the Family

This full day course aims to build on and further develop your knowledge of domestic violence and its impact on children and young people. It will provide a range of tools to identify domestic violence and abuse, how to assess risk and how to respond safely and appropriately.

Aims of training
You will be able to:

  • Build awareness of DVA and its impact on children and young people
  • Build on awareness of DVA and prevalence
  • Give participants the tools and knowledge of how to identify DVA
  • Give details e.g. how to respond safely and appropriately

Who should attend?

Anyone working with individuals and families in Southampton.
Ideally those attending this course will have a basic understanding of DVA.
